IPL has been in news for both good and bad for last one month. Controversies around it have made more news than cricket this season. The controversies are giving credence to argument that the real matches in IPL are played outside the field. The stated objective of IPL- growth of cricket in the country.... seems to have lost out to the business interests which are thriving on the cricketing emotions of the people of our country. The talks of dubious deals, match fixing allegations, conflict of interest, etc etc are clear pointer towards the fact that people of the country are again being shortchanged. Government intervention is welcome but its efficacy in taking the issues to its logical conclusion is doubtful.
Its time we learn a lesson and not let our emotions (love for cricket) become fodder for some.....more next..

Reflection
This is my first tryst with blog. Was today reading the blog of my nephew and was inspired to have one of mine too. While reading his blog I discovered a new side of him which was probably alien to me till date. I was reflecting on the times spent with him over the last more than 20 years. I realised to my utter disbelief that I knew very little of him as against my conviction that I understood him completely. Probably our assessment of others generally get blurred in our own biases, own likes/dislikes and moreover our own perception of world around us. We tend to forget that each individual has an independent set of priorities, independent mindset and aboveall an independent heart which has its own worldview. Being judgemental on others is one of the fallacies of most of us....atleast I need to detest it..
